"Sorry, I don't mean to offend your sensibilities, but the whole R/C racing world of "the next best thing since sliced bread" always amuses me. The car isn't even out yet, but people are already worried about which parts they are going to break."
Love it... well said
I've been out of the RC scene for 20 years, and one thing I've really enjoyed and loved recently is actually driving my current car (X-Pro 2wd) to breaking point...sure it might cost you a few quid every drive, but it means your car evolves for the conditions you drive under. And you learn the limits of the car which makes you a better driver overall.
My little budget buggy is now fitted with some cool hop-ups in the places it needs them and I really love the car, I know it personally now, it's no longer just an RC Car it has a personality...might sound odd but I think it's all part of driving and racing
What one person breaks on one track will not be the same at another track, so unless you drive on several tracks just get you're car...drive it and enjoy it till something breaks then you'll know what you will need for 'possible' future spares.
I can't wait to start to get to know my CAT SxII... I'm sure she'll be demanding at times just like most women...
