That's what you need in all commentary teams these days when you have wall-to-wall coverage of a sport. Just check out any of the footie programmes and you'll find all those characters. EJ is no different to Alan Hanson ("you can't win anything with kids", "Liverpool will win the league" (in 2009/10) and "Chelsea will win the Champions League" (in 2009). He's no less of a Mr Angry than EJ, and that's his role for the BBC. Love EJ or hate him, people aren't switching off because of him, and he creates a lot of interest for F1 and the BBC's coverage. Hell, anyone who can be in that sport for 10 years and leave with over £30m can't be a fool!!
