Hi Chris

Good advice about the Lipo height/CAT SX. Also check the length too. If you are talking about the black SMC 50C stick lipos then they do fit into the SX height wise but you have to dremel a little material from the front bulkhead to get them in length ways. I know this because i did one for a lad at our club.

I have owned the B44 and the CAT SX. In terms of reliability and handling i did`nt find much between them. I do find the CAT to jump a little better for my style of driving ( flies flatter through the air for me )
Theres clearly nothing wrong with the B44 though as Neil and Bradders prove over and over each round at Worksop !

As for breakages on the SX, the only achillies heel are the front 3mm bolts that fix the wishbone hangers to the lower diff housing. They bend pretty easily which stiffens up the front end. its easy to spot. Sometimes the hinge pin might be ever so slightly bent too as a result. This looks to of been cured with the SX2 as they are now utilising 4mm bolts for strength and plastic hangers which should save the hinge pins bending.

Other than these things, i have found mine to be pretty reliable. Some people bend the alloy wishbone hangers on the first SX but you have to hit them pretty hard to do this. Im still on my original set. I do however only run indoors as im a TC racer during the summer

Hope this helps

PS - what other goodies have you got lurking in the queue for the classifieds
