I did the same when building the kit. Took the CVDs appart (they were really tight though; I don't think it really needed it), dremeled a flat spot for the screw, red locktited it and reassembled. Then put some shrink wrap around it in case. No problems so far!! But like I said, I'm at the beginning... I'm sure some pitfalls are bound to come around...
