Yes - I've done it, its fun just to feel like perhaps you've wound them up a bit - I told one scammer that I required a copy of his driving license, passport and bank details!!! - I then said I'd only let him have my car if he sent me a photo of himself with a shoe on his head, holding a sign saying "AWOOGA!" in one hand and a loaf of bread in the other.
I never heard from him again.
