Of course there are limits to this as well. If you are running a 1/10 touring car at the same time as a 1/5 large scale, you CAN expereince problems. As long as you are running cars of similar size you should not have any problems.
If there are many cars on the track we suggest you place the tripod on something of about 0.5 meter height to increase the reliablility.

Has it been tested in strong sunlight

The IR-technology is knowned to be sensitive to sunlight.. Why not go with RFID instead, i guess You would be able to build a more reliable system, at more or less the same cost as IR..or is that coming in version 2??
Never the less.. Itīs great to see cost efficient systems for smaller clubs
