A few of us have had problems with diff bolts breaking at our club (only one for me -quite a few for another racer!) The best way around to have the screws seems to be to have the main bolt on the left and the locking grubscrew on the right. This way if they move the diff loosens off instead of going tight and snapping the main bolt.

I'm now using M3x16mm stainless cap head bolts as the main and a M3x 6 or 10m cap head as the grub screw as they're easier to get locked tight!
