If it's anything like going to 1/18th Nationals then the F grading will count for nothing!! I run my 18th National Heat by 4 or 5 laps most races last week despite previosuly mentioning ability!!
Hopefully the 1/8th commitee will take it into consideration so you'd be in about Heat 2 Griff
