It's illegal for shops to come together and price fix but I believe it's not illegal for a manufacturer to insist that all shops sell at RRP and no lower. I know that when I was looking around to buy my GoPro Hero HD helmet camera I spoke with 2 shops that said they are not allowed to sell below the RRP of the product, it's a condition of being supplied by the manufacturer. So maybe not as straight forward as it first seems.
