These have toe molded into them, so if you want to make it wider, you use the same shims front and rear. If you want to change the toe you just add/remove shims from one end. Yes this does potentially put some strain on it - however, in plastic, this isn't an issue.
Sounds simpler and you now also have toe in on the hub with the new alloy hubs

Looks like a new chassis listed on the parts section, so it's basically virtually a new car
