Yep, unlike the B4 manual which states you set the link gap to 1mm I don't see any recommendation for the B44. I presume, like me, others have just guessed at how far to screw the link thread into the ball cups, resulting in different horn angles with the wheels dead centre. I'll be interested to know what gap you have set.
Also, I would be interested in others answering the second part to your question about glueing the servo saver. Mine isn't glued at the moment, but having just glued my X6 saver with good good results I was considering whether to do the same for the B44.
