As i dont run the x6 i cant really comment on the speed bit altough in general terms i would go up a pinion or 2

As for the servo bit, i just got a Savox SC1257, 0.07 secnds and 10kg of torque, it's fine for 10th electric, and i think that this servo is amazing great on the track, loads of difference from a standard Towerpro servo, although i think i might glue the servo saver as read above as i am strugerling with under steer
