Ahem - V6 - hence the "6"R4. Did come in various guises though - 2.8, 3.0, 3.6 and 3.8 litres. Then there were the likes of Will Gollop's 2.3 BiTurbo. Arne Rasmushaugen had a BiTurbo as well.
If you want fully Group B spectactular photos and info, go looking at some of the Rallycross websites. There's a plethora of stuff to wander through.
Think the 2 most insane Rallycross cars (not Group B) I've seen were Arild Martinsen's 4WD BMW M3 at Brands - which punched out 1000BHP and left black streaks from the start line to the first corner, and a Chevy Monza with a 3 speed semi auto drag race gearbox converted for a chap who'd been paralyzed in a rally crash.
