The second pic (Eurofighter) is the only one I have tried to finish properly so far. The top one (F-18) was an american kit which is finished with glass cloth, and grey primer. I test flew it several times before I started painting it, which is now finished. The bottom pic (F-16) kit is about £90, but you need batteries, rx etc. It has just had a new fan fitted so it can run a 4S pack, hopefully it will nudge 100mph.
Even these simple edf models come in at a good few quid, and they are not for the unexperienced. The F-18 is launched by a bungee catapult and ramp, as you can't throw it hard enough.
You can get quite a few of these types of models with everything in the box now, although some of the electronics are not always that good. They probably start at around £170ish, but if you cant fly pretty well they wont last long!!
