just be aware thats its against the brca's general rules to modify a transmitter so it exceeds the manufactures recomended voltage
ie 4 x 1.5 dry cells is 6 volts, so to put a 2s (7.4 volt) pack in there is not going to be acceptable

like wise a 8 cell x 1.5 volt is 12 vilts so a 3 s lipo is 11.1 volt which is ok.
i qoute 1.5volt as the manufactures suggest dry cells like duracell which are 1.5 not 1.2 of rechargables

as bagof skill, says i would think if you used a 6 volt voltage regulater you would be ok, but double check!
