I'm with you: I had a Holiday Buggy as my first car, my brother had the Sand Rover. Next came a Sand Scorcher then a Kyosho Beetle.
All these re-release are making me feel my age (a young 40, might I add). But for shelf queen status, it would have to be either a Tamiya XR311 or Lambo Cheetah. I wanted one of these but a friend persuaded me not to, as they were too fragile. But I see a picture of one now, nearly 30 years on, and I feel like a kid again!
