Well, if you really like your lazer, you can still get new parts quite easily

The front gear casing (LA-32) is a weak point of the lazer, but a friend of Welshy40 is making some more strong mould that solve this problem.
It's one of the most hard part to find ... however LA32 can be buyed from this guy (

The original MK3 (same as MK2) chassis and top deck can be buyed on ebay:
