Try putting the diff in the case without the CVD to see if that spins freely. If that spins free then it cant be blocking on the case.
Then put the CVD in without the diff to see if anything is catching there.
If both of these individually spin free then it must be how your meshing them together. Check all the teeth on your gears are ok and there is nothing stuck between them.
Hard to know exactly what the problem is without looking.
