using the boots is optional, just a neat feature of the car.

Must say im a big fan of them though. After running the car several times outdoors and indoors i went to refill my shocks and was amazed to see the oil was still completely clear!! Didnt bother refilling them after i seeing how clear the oil was.

As for drilling your pistons, all the team drivers here in the UK have done this and noted a big improvement on the track. The standars kit pistons give you too much pack which is no good on our bumpy tracks. Drilling the pistons makes the car ride the bumps better, reacts quicker and generates more grip.

Ive yet to note how bad the rubber boot suck effect is but one way to cure this maybe to put a few holes in using a very thin needle. This was you allow just enough air to get out whilst minimizing the chances of any dirt passing through the hole.
