The GM's are fairly popular in Germany for obvious reasons and when you have them running nicely they are great speedos. BUT there are so many settings that most of the ones I've seen drove like poo because they were hopelessly badly set up by the users. There are literally so many settings that people tend to fiddle with them just that little bit too much.
There are some other small things which are fairly annoying as well.

- They sometimes lose their programming for no apparent reason.
- You have to drag your laptop along to races if you want to set it.
- The settings button which also doubles as the switch has to be deactivated or your car will switch itself off coming off big jumps.
- non standard sensor wire plug on the speedo so you always need an adapter
- Never(!) set your throttle travel to over 100% or the speedo will do very strange things.
- It has a fairly large footprint with the capacitor circuit board on the end and fairly high if soldered on top.
- The handheld programmer only works when full moon is out and you are placed squarely at the end of the rainbow ( I've never seen anyone get it to work)

Otherwise they are great
