As you know i play with touring cars normally indoors.

The spool is the fastest set up by far and the easiest to drive but it is not strong enough in my car as it keeps breaking this is due to it being lightweight alu and really only suitable for stock class.
So i cant see why on the same surface a spool wont work!!!!!

2 reasons
1 you have PINS on buggy tyres not slicks, while slicks cope well with a bit of slip, pins don't like this at all.
2 you have much bigger wheels, heavier cars, bumps and jumps : it will BREAK.
