Hi, you could waterproof the electronics you have, look at the major rc crawler forums for best advice on how to do it, alternately you could invest in some water proof parts, there are quite a few on the market, mtronics, yeah racing, hobbywing, novak , Lrp, nosram all do waterproofed speedos, the reciever jut needs a balloon or similar wrapped around it with a cable tie and a spot of grease in the neck of the baloon,, although, i have been running an Ansmann mad rat and x-pro kits in very wet weather with yeah racing brushless and spektrum sr3100 reciever with no protection and every time i am finished a run all the electronics have been 'completely dry' apart from the servo, splashproof bluebird 706 lp, (get em on ebay for £5, very fast and dual bb) i put a little grease around the servo output shaft then fit the horn,
get out and drive it and sod the weather,

hope this helps,
