I would definitely recommend a quick read of the recent Racer review but from memory, yes, i did go up is shock oils - I think it was maybe even heavier on the front - possibly 45wt and 35 - 40wt in the back.
I also dropped a ballstud washer all round to lower the inner pivot height to help the truck corner a little bit flatter.

Use the black grease (supplied) for the diff build up and shim it using 2 shims per side.
Also, check for drive-cup rubbing on the wishbone bracing - I had to dremel my wishbones a touch to prevent any binding at full droop.

Also, as soon as possible, invest in the superb JConcepts underbody cover - that will help keep everythin nice and clean / dry.

Rear wheels - before you run the truck, it's worth filling the recesses surrounding the drive pin recess (not the pin recess itself - obviously) with epoxy. The wheels can come a little loose and then the drive pin becomes unseated - you power up and shred the inner face of the wheel. Worth checking out beforehand although I do believe that perhaps AE have addressed this in later kit batches???

HTH - see you Sunday.
