If I had to choose, this is what I would do knowing what I know now.
(BTW, I have worked on both LHD and RHD cars)
Get the LHD version:-
If you’re racing indoors only over the winter, don’t use the idle mod just run the car in reverse for the winter. If you’re planning to run outdoors during the winter use the idle mod and run the speedo in normal rotation.
If you don’t have a reverse speedo just use the idle mod straight away.
