I won't cut posts anyway, so the lack of strength will make them far more breakable.
Finally, possibly some carbon plate+thumbscrews would be used to achieve the goal in the most aesthetically optimized manner.

Hope you sort it anyway mate. While mine works fine I would like a neater clamp solution for stick lipos in an xx4 if there was one out there, one with thumb screws and graphite would be good. I've seen one or two on here but think they are one off bespoke items.
