everything gets re-incarnated. everything goes in circles
we thought we had got rid of stick packs sideways across the chassis like the old CAT XLS used to be, but the X6 has come back with it, why? because LIPO is a bit lighter and it makes is possible to do it again.
why are geared diffs back? I assume its because we can use oil in them without them leaking, you can get the same tune as the other guy on the interweb by using the same oil instead of reding his setup sheet and it being 'tight' or 'loose' or something as vague as that.
also you can run the diff very free without it slipping, or very 'tight' without if going notchy.
running rallycross for a year and I really like geared diff's with oil, going back to 10th scale diff's the adjustment is always a bit voodoo, is that tight enough? does it slip? are my balls or plates worn?
at the end of the day, people will run whatever makes THEM fast.
when is the geared diff with one-way rolling outdrives comming?
