For back garden bashing anything over a 19 turn is probably overkill. One of my mates was running my DF-03 this evening with a 19 turn checkpoint motor and it went really well and surprisingly didn't get that hot. It actually stayed cooler than the 27 turn motor he was running the previous week. Anything like a 12 or 10 turn motor will just drain the batteries too quickly. If you're thinking of going silly power then your best bet is a brushless of some sort, probably the budget stuff that LRP and Nosram have just brought out, brushless don't get as hot as brushed and they are far more efficient as well (more runtime).
