Well it's a cheaper model and with tamiya's the only real difference is the corner speed between an expensive model and an entry level model not sure why....maybe chassis layout? more flex in the plastic parts? I've raced both the 501x and the 511 and the 511 does have more corner speed than the 501x and I know people who started with a durga and then went to the 501x and agreed with this, so I'am not really sure why it is but try it yourself if you are quite expierenced and you will find the same
