Hey Codpiece,

Im into the whole green laning scene and currently own three Landrovers, A discovery 300TDI, a 90 V8 and a freelander !!

Advice wise from me as I have seen fronteras offroad, I have seen fronteras with a lot of kit on, 2 inch lifts mud terrains trick shocks the lot and they still struggle to follow standard Disco's anywhere.

If it was me get a standard disco and slap mud tyres on it, also go for a Diesel engine (200 or 300TDI), get a snorkel fitted and go into as deeper water as you dare!
DO NOT GO FOR A PETROL ENGINE, they do not have the low down torque needed for serious off road and die if water gets anywhere near them!

The other one to look at is the Suzuki Vitara (you might think I have lost my marbles suggesting one!) fit a lift and mud tyres and these things are unstoppable due to being lightweight (check them on youtube!!!)
Disco's and 90's can ground out on the axles in mud!!
