i have done a little research into this, as I am fitting one at my parents house this weekend....and wanted to avoid perching on the end of a ladder too far up to survive the fall!

Basically, Digital TV aerials to work properly (or to get reception at all) need to be outdoors. Roof tiles, pipework & electrical wires commonly found in your loft can all play havoc with your reception.

The Digital Aerial is best suited to be mounted around 10m off the ground, and free from obstructions such as roof lines, trees etc.....
