Place the diff in a vice so the jaws are supporting the diff case and that the output drive cup is facing downwards. Get a small driver that fits in the hole of the gear and gently tap the screw driver handle with a hammer. The e-clip behind the gear should be able to move against the x seal enough to release the bevel gear. Double check the bevel gear to make sure that it has not cracked. If the bevel gear still does not come off maybe use a soldering iron (25-40W) to gently heat the gear (make sure not enough to start to melt the diff case) and then tape the case hard on a table and see if if then comes off.
