Not sure about the IB's but the LRP's have a a gap in the locators so if you turn them upside down in cars such as the B4 the battery strap fits flat on the cells. Two saddles are the same length as a stick so you can use them in touring cars and such. Here's a few pics to show what I mean .






Looking back I could have managed with just two sets of saddles but its good to spread the use over a few lipo's.
