The diff housings look very similar between the 2 cars. I would assume if it bolts to the car you could just swap the smaller cog on the CVA and pop the diff in there.
Metric/imperial doesn't really play much part in this. If you end up with 10 metric screws on your B44 it's not much of a problem.
