I have no interest in shelfers either..! but if you are gonna complain about the price of "vintage" parts, don't go "vintage".. I merely suggested Tamiya as a suitable manufacturer due to the availiability of "cheap" and easily found parts.. if you really want to persue the "vintage" route be prepared to spend big bucks if you choose a make that is "interesting", that's all I was saying dude..! jeez..!
