If you use the bronze shims you donīt have to use the small shims for the outdrives (normally). Thatīs what the instruction says.
In my case I had to use the small shims on the outdrives, although I used the bronze shims, because there was to much play and I could move the Diff from side to side when I closed the tranny case.
I hope you understand what I mean.
By the way, there was no clear grease in my kit either.
