My guess would be Spectrum fail safe. If you bind the unit with throttle applied, thats what it will do when the transmitter is off. Ive done it when Ive bound the car, then found out I have to reverse the throttle and recalibrate. The fail safe is still set for the original setting. I'm probably wrong but its worth looking at
