You know the only difference with an 'LED' TV is it using LED's for a backlight instead of fluorescent's? All that will give you is potentially 'whiter' white and lower power use, any extra 'detail' is down to the LCD panel itself not the backlight. It should last longer than floursecent's too and won't lose brightness over time.
