Acetone (propanone)
Not wishing to bore anyone but i would strongly recommend viewing the material safety data sheet on this chemical (Google, msds acetone) Although it does not appear to be listed as a known or anticipated carsinogen it can be extremely hazardous if not handled correctly.
As an overview it is an extremely flammable liquid & vapour, the vapour can cause flash fire (sensitive to static discharge) Harmful if swallowed or inhaled, causes irritation to the respitory tract and effects the nervous system.
Use only in a well ventilated area, pref outside, away from ANY source of ignition & wear gloves (not winter wooly ones) & safety goggles. t is a skin irritant and splashes to the eye can cause corneal damage. Prolonged exposure can result in liver damage.
Sorry to go on but as i am employed as a H&S engineer feeling a bit guilty as i posted where it can be obtained from. (beauty wholesalers will sell the real Mcoy if asked for)
