Sold a car about 2 years ago which we'd had from new, HPI'd properly, not one of the text checks it to sell as an HPI clear car and they cam back with he wrong colour - said it was bright yellow when infact it was black, they wouldn't change it and i actualy lost the first sale because it wasnt HPI clear... so personally take HPI's as a bonus not as gospel
and perhaps the text ones a level further down...
