I completely agree.

Firstly, the BRCA licence fee pays for the "Third Party Liability" that the BRCA licence gives you.
For your information, if you hit someone whilst out bashing (to the best of my knowledge) you are not covered if that person decides to sue you or make a claim against you...so...if you hit someone, hit their car, hit their dog, etc etc you are in the sh#t.
If you are a member of the BRCA you are covered not only at race meetings but also everywhere else.

The reason that clubs charge a fiver or so to race is because most indoor clubs need to rent their halls for the time they race and have to pay for that hall rental, plus the few thosuand pounds they pay for timing gear, carpet, track marking etc.
Outdoor halls either have had to rent the lad from councils/farmers etc or have taken a mortgage out to buy the land they use. They also have to pay for PA systems, trophies, astroturf, laptops, generators etc etc.

You brake stuff cos you crash. If I crash my Ford Escort into someone elses car on the road id break stuff in that situation.

You wonder why you get a hard time after slagging off our hobby? I agree that the bullying of you is not on, but dont come and ask stupid questions and then tell us that our governing body is a joke.

If you dont want to race, fine, bash, bashing is great fun, but dont slate what we do.
