build it, lock slipper,
hold both back wheels still, try to turn the spur gear, if it turns, nip up the diff a little (how much comes down to experience).
Once no slip, power up the car, on low throttle, hold one wheel for 10 seconds, then do the same with the other wheel, turn off car.
Check diff tighteness, if ok, set slipper, if not, start again.
