It is very important that the drivetrain is running freely and the pulleys aren't mashed and the slipper is set right, I managed to lunch 3 belts in 1 meeting with my first time out with the car. Follow the guidelines in the instructions for initial setting up the slipper and then back it off slightly, try it and then just gradually tighten it until as the previous post says you have a little slip of a few feet.
