The posts are so far out so that you can fit a GTB/SLYDR to the left or right of the 2-cell area. That's the reason the 'rails' along the 2-cell area are lower too - the circuit board portion of the speedo just clears that. I knew this was going to be really close to the shell on the buggy, but when we were designing the X-6Sq/X-60 chassis last year there were plenty of places in the world (cough UK included cough) where most people were still running cells. They're still running cells in Japan, so while fitting the shell is a minor issue, 'fixing' that would have created a lot worse issue for many people.
Hopefully by the time we need a 'cubed' Novak will have a smaller speedo!
