Make sure that the non slip drawer liner is 'on' the shell and isn't lifted at all. also if you're using an airbrush, keep it at the same angle if you have to go over twice. Other wise you get a blurred finish. Also, lol, use gunmetal silver rather than normal silver, it gives it a more subtle finish, more like real carbon...then back it with black.
And don't move or take the liner off the shell at all, as its impossible to get it back in the same place again.
If you have to, cut it up into shapes that fit the area that you are painting.
