lived in Bilbao from 1999 to 2001 and I can say that these people know what a jolly good time is! Looks like the track is quite near the "casco viejo" (the old city). They stay out at night until 8 - 9 am. Seriously!
I would suggest to anyone who can afford the time/cost to go down early or stay a bit after and check out the beaches and the fiestas during the days you're there. They have this thing where each town's patron saint day is cause for their own grand party of the year. Ask the organizers which towns as celebrating their fiestas during the Euros. It will be well worth it. Especially for those interested in meeting friendly, attractive women
Mundaka beach has world class surfing, el antxobe is a town stuck on the ocean where you swim in the port! There is a connecting bridge called el puente Colgante. Google it!
