I recall encountering a speed camera on a stretch of road toward the Titanic Quarter in Belfast - it's the width of a four-lane motorway, has virtually no traffic and no pedestrians, yet had a 40mph limit on it.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, there were roadworks at the end of the motorway, with a speed limit and 'kill your speed, not our workers' signs, and people were flying through them at 70mph...and not a speed trap in sight
