Hd caddy, yeah thought about that as well, but i'm certainly not buying one to get someone else's data off!

Like i say, i think HD is probably dead tbh, it blue screened on me a couple of times while i was trying to run XP setup from CD.
If it half boots it's not dead. If you want i can try and find an old hard drive from our server room/dumping ground that you can have at EPR? I take it, it's 3.5"?
