I don't think they would.
We are the only country where a large proportion of drivers use sticks. A Spektrum DX3 in stick format can't really be used in rock crawlers either, where many people use sticks - as it is only 3 channel. That's why many rock crawlers use things such as the DX6i - 6 Channels for all the bits needed.
There is a market, but it's limited, which will push the price up, into the same range as the Futaba 3GR 2.4gHz, so you'll have two transmitters competing for a small market - not really in Spektrum's best interest.
