A few places ran rally cars about a decade ago. They had a brief burst of popularity with rally versions of the HPI RS4, Yokomo MR4, Schumacher SST and Losi Street Weapon. In most cases they were little more than jacked up tourers with longer shocks and undershells.
However I never saw rallys like that. It was all circuit racing, which was the problem. Put them on a flat track and its just a touring car with a different shell, but they didn't really have the travel for 10th buggy tracks. Mostly it was TC tracks with a few mild jumps thrown in, hardly rallying.

Something like that video would be great. However, just like back then I'd suspect that rather than a TT01 rally you'd be better off with a modified Snoring car.
