Following on from last seasons inaugural event at Wacattack raceway, today was the second round of this prestigious event. This year saw a huge imprevement in attendence, 100% up from last year, increasing from 1 entrant to 2.
The first entrant, and a runner in last years event, was my good self racing the RC10B4. The second entrant, and a first time racer ever, was my wife Meemee who also raced my RC10B4.
The track itself was very similar to that of last year, with a broad array of track features including sink bowls, toolboxes and battery cases to mark out the track....
The straight was small, with the track itself quite windy. Throughout the course of the day the track changed quite a bit due to random crashes into the track markings which made lap times a little inconsistent.
Meemee, making her debut to racing, took to the rostrum with confidence. Her transmitter handling was a little different to what we are accustomed to, with the transmitter being held at a 90 degree angle to her body...
Her driving style, was a little "iratic" at times, with some near misses with the nearby flower bed..
... and a track marking....
Both of us managed to qualify 8th in the final (how, when there were only 2 runners is a very good question), with a closeup of the car on the starting line below...
The day itself was deemed a huge success and I would like to thank Meemee for her participation in the partaking in the racing
